Cultivating Contentment: How to Find More Joy & Struggle Less
Start Date: 6/24/2015Start Time: 12:00 PM
End Date: 6/24/2015End Time: 1:00 PM

Event Description
Summer is the time associated with "joy" in Chinese Medicine. We often think of joy as excitement, but joy can also arise from having a sense of purpose and contentment. This talk will provide meditative techniques that allow you to check in with yourself when confronted with a situation you're unsure about. These techniques help us to struggle less, use our intuition, and to find contentment from acting in alignment with our values and beliefs.

Our speaker, Monica Fauble, Program Coordinator for University Wellness, will be using her experience as a Licensed Acupuncturist, a practitioner of Chinese Medicine, and a student of Buddhism and Sufism, to offer an emotional wellness talk with meditation techniques for cultivating contentment, purpose, and joy.

This talk is open to the entire Drexel community. Contact Monica with questions.
