Cultivating Contentment: How to Find More Joy & Struggle Less
Start Date: 6/7/2016Start Time: 12:00 PM
End Date: 6/7/2016End Time: 1:00 PM

Event Description
Summer is the time associated with "joy" in Chinese Medicine. We often think of joy as excitement, but joy can also arise from having a sense of purpose and contentment, from knowing what your heart longs for.

This workshop will provide context and discussion for what contentment looks like in our lives, and we will learn the basics of the “Remembrance,” a contemplative prayer technique from Sufism that that helps you hear your heart and find more connection and less struggle in your life.

Our speaker, Monica Fauble, Program Coordinator for University Wellness, will be using her experience as a Licensed Acupuncturist, a practitioner of Chinese Medicine, and a student of Buddhism and Sufism, to offer an emotional wellness talk with contemplative prayer techniques for cultivating contentment, purpose, and joy.

RSVP Required. RSVP to Monica Fauble: mfauble@drexel.edu
