Women in the College Sport Workplace: Opportunities and Challenges

Event Description
Women have never had a more prominent role in the college sport workplace than they do today.  Much of the increase in the number of women working in college sport is attributable to the maturity of the industry itself, which offers women myriad opportunities to work in an ever-expanding array of roles.  While the number of women has increased over time, women’s percent of the workforce in certain sectors of the college sport industry, especially in leadership positions, lags far behind the progress women have made in other previously male-dominated professions.  In this webinar, we will be using case examples to examine women’s place in college sport programs, the inroads made, the challenges women face in the form of persistent and entrenched gender bias, and strategies for future success.
