Event Description

Tod Williams and Billie Tsien formed their partnership in 1986 and quickly earned an international reputation that ranks them among the most creative and accomplished architects working today. Their 28-person office primarily works for institutions that value issues of meaning, timelessness and beauty, designing buildings that are exquisitely made, efficient and physically compelling.

Their body of work includes the Neurosciences Institute in La Jolla, California, the American Folk Art Museum in New York, the Asia Society Center in Hong Kong, Skirkanich Hall laboratory at the University of Pennsylvania, and the recently completed and enthusiastically received Barnes Foundation in Philadelphia.

Currently under construction is an information technology campus for Tata Consultancy Services in Mumbai, India, two new skating rinks for Brooklyn's Prospect Park, and the Andlinger Center for Energy and the Environment at Princeton University.

This lecture is free and open to the public.
