Event Description
The 2018 Employee Olympic Games will be held on Wednesday, June 20, from 2 p.m. to approximately 5 p.m. Participation is open to all Drexel faculty and professional staff, including the Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University and Drexel University Online. Participants will compete in 8 different sports, and gold medals will be awarded to the winning teams. Individuals displaying teamwork, sportsmanship and enthusiasm will receive “Torch Bearer” Awards.
Participants will report to the Recreation Center for t-shirt pick up at 1:30 p.m.
NEW THIS YEAR:
Earn 25 wellness incentive points for participating in one or more sports during the 2018 Employee Olympics. Points will be awarded within 6 weeks of the event.
WIN AN IPAD IN OUR
RAFFLE! Everyone who participates in any sport this year, including the Fun
Walk, will be automatically entered to win an IPAD or one of two Fitbits during
our Employee Olympics raffle. Please note that these gifts will be taxable. If
you do not wish to be taxed on your prize, you will have the option to opt out
of receiving a raffle prize.
VISIT OUR THERAPY
DOGS! Our unofficial mascots for this year’s Olympics will be Chai and
Espresso, Drexel
Recreational Athletics’ therapy dogs! Take a break and enjoy some canine
company from 3:00-3:30 p.m. in the Recreation Center Lobby.
