Event Description
What do Angelina Jolie, Jon Hamm, J.K. Rowling, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Princess Diana all have in common? If you guessed depression, you’re correct. Countless celebrities have suffered from depression at some point in life.
The Counseling Center can help to determine if you, too, suffer from depression. We will be participating in the annual
National Depression Screening Day
on Thursday, October 11th, from 11:00am until 1:00pm in the Creese Student Center Lobby. There will also be a screening table on the Center City campus from 11:00am until 1:00pm in the New College Building Lobby. Counselors will be offering free, confidential screenings for depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder. At the screening, you can fill out a questionnaire and talk with a counselor one-on-one about your personal situation. Information will be available about a variety of mental health concerns as well as on-campus resources. Students can also complete the screening on-line through the Counseling Center web site at www.drexel.edu/ch.
