Event Description The Model Minority Myth Thursday, April 11th, from 12:00pm-1:30pm Intercultural Center First Floor Gallery This program will shed greater light on the expectations placed upon Asian students through personal experience, as well as how those expectations affect their experience in a learning environment.
This program is a part of Social Justice Week 2013. The Student Center for Inclusion and Culture, The Lindy Center for Civic Engagement, Hillel, and the Residential Living Office are happy to sponsor a week full of educational presentations that will help our community advance in the pursuit of social justice.
As a reward for those students committed to learning about Social Justice issues and in order to continue your education, we are offering a free trip to the Jewish American History Museum in Philadelphia on Sunday, April 21st at 11 am. In order to be considered for the trip, students have to attend a minimum of 3 Social Justice Week events. A sign-up sheet will be available at each event so please make sure to sign up each time you attend.
