Gain a new understanding of the role plants play in water quality with Academy research associate in botany Dr. David Hewitt.

As you’re strolling through the woods on a tranquil hike, do you ever stop to think how the shape of a tree or the density of a forest might affect the quality of your source water? Come explore Pennypack Park and learn how forest communities are shaped by the water cycle. From rainfall to runoff and stemflow to streams, gain a new understanding of the role plants play in water quality with Academy research associate in botany Dr. David Hewitt.
