STAR Workshop #2: Finding & Reading a Scholarly Article

Event Description
This is the second workshop in a series of four workshops offered by the Hagerty Library staff to prepare students to learn and hone research-related skills.
 
This workshop will deal with the different types of articles you will find. Students will be asked to bring an article related to their STAR topic to analyze. We will use that and a second article to visually depict common and unique elements among the two articles and their STAR topic.

At the end of the workshop, students will be able to:
  • dissect a scholarly article in order to efficiently interpret one
  • analyze scholarly articles in order to arrange articles in context with each other
