Event Description
This exhibition displays 32 photographs donated to The Drexel Collection by Mr. and Mrs. Paul Ingersoll in 1985. The collection of photographs includes some of the most influential and pioneering photographers including Eugene Atget, Edward Weston and Eadweard Muybridge, creating an indispensable asset to the collection.
The exhibition is divided into three main types of photography: Street, Art and Nature. Street photography is a way to chronicle everyday life, documenting ephemeral moments in time. Art photography is an interpretation of the world through the eyes of the artist. Nature photography is devoted to sweeping landscape views and intricate close-ups to portray the grandeur of nature in its entirety.
The exhibition is on display in the Rincliffe Gallery on the third floor of Main Building at 3141 Chestnut St. from June 9th through August 4th.
The Rincliffe Gallery is open from 8 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. on weekdays and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends. The Gallery is free and open to the public.
