Event Description
The Washington Mandela Fellowship Program at Drexel is part of the State Department’s Young African Leaders Initiative; it provides young community leaders from Sub-Saharan African nations the chance to come to the U.S. for six weeks to take courses at partner universities (Drexel is one of 25 across the nation), build relationships, and hone their communication and leadership skills. 
 
About the Speaker: Sylvester Akpah is currently working on his PhD and manages a healthcare NGO in Tarkwa, Ghana. Sylvester is particularly interested in increasing Electronic Health Records uptake in his home country and plans to focus his PhD research on EHR data security. 
 
Lunch will be provided and served at 11:30 am.
