Start Date: 7/7/2020Start Time: 12:00 PM
End Date: 7/7/2020End Time: 12:30 PM
Event Description
What does a creative school classroom look like? What does a teacher and/or school leadership need to do to set the stage for creativity to flourish? This half hour session will provide the basics to consider in creating a learning environment (with tenants transferable to the business/corporate office working environment), with built in time to discuss specific barriers you may have to overcome in doing so.

About the Presenter:
Larry Keiser, PhD, is the Program Director for Drexel University School of Education’s Creativity & Innovation MS degree and Certificate Programs. For the last several years, in addition to serving as Drexel University’s Teacher Certification Officer, Dr. Keiser has developed and maintained relationships with Philadelphia area education organizations, school districts and schools. He designs, develops and implements creativity and innovation workshops, programming and alternative graduate and undergraduate degree programs supporting the partnerships’ activities and school districts’ and schools’ employment needs of attracting highly qualified teachers in high need urban schools – particularly the need of attracting and retaining teachers of color and teachers in high need, STEM subject areas – while overcoming the financial and other economic and societal barriers that typically impeded their recruitment.
