Summer Entrepreneur Program Final Presentations

Event Description
The Westphal College of Media Arts & Design, The Charles D. Close School of Entrepreneurship, and The Corzo Center for the Creative Economy at the University of the Arts invite you to join us for the final presentations from the summer program for creative entrepreneurs.

Students and alumni selected to participate in the entrepreneurship program worked on developing their creative business ideas. They will present their businesses to a panel of judges, and those with potential for growth will be eligible for grants ranging from $5,000 to $7,500. Audience members will get to vote for the project they feel is most deserving, with the winner receiving $1,000. A reception will follow the presentations.

The presenters and projects are:

Kathryn Angeloni, Music Industry
Dloot, a business that composes soundtracks and designs sound effects for independent video games.

Alexa Forney, Product Design
Spoonful, a series of microkits that enable and promote self-sufficient kitchen behaviors.

Naima Murphy, Arts Administration
The Sound Shop, a venue that supports the local music community by promising audiences local music programming and offering musicians a supportive space to rehearse and experiment.

Chelsea Myers, Eric Martin, Ross Reagan, and Ian Suen (Alumni)
Coffeebot, a comedic series of 3D-rendered comics and animations published online every week.

Megan Peaslee, Product Design
The Acute Reader, a product that creates enjoyable reading experience for individuals with hand pain.
