Event Description
Join us August 10-14 for an exciting week of Academy Explorers Summer Camp.
This week's theme is Bugstravaganza. Journey deep into the dirt and observe the world from a bug’s point of view. Plus, get up close and personal with some real live creepy crawlies!
-
FIELD TRIP: Visit a garden paradise, right here in Philadelphia. Explore the grounds, find out the importance of bees, and learn the basics of beekeeping.
- Take a virtual trip around the world while never leaving the museum, and discover the insects and arachnids found on different continents.
- Design and build your own “bug” to display in our campers-only “Bugstravaganza Ball.”
- Who’s feeling buggy? Play games to determine the difference between insect and human senses.
