Event Description A two-week experiential learning study tour focused on global and environmental health, and language acquisition.
Based in Quetzaltenango, Guatemala, Doing Development is a study tour that focuses on community engagement, international development and service. Students will learn from those most impacted by poverty, and explore topics like global and environmental health, human rights, and fair trade, while meeting with development agencies, and volunteering in local communities organizing for equity and justice. Students will also visit Antigua, a designated World Heritage site, explore famed Lago Atitlan, and spend two days at a cooperatively-owned coffee finca. |
