Gilman Scholarship and Freeman-ASIA Info Session

Event Description
Come learn about need-based scholarships for undergraduate study or co-op abroad! The Gilman Scholarship provides up to $8,000. Applicants must be U.S. citizens and Pell grant eligible. Preference is given to students from diverse backgrounds. The Freeman Awards for Study in Asia (Freeman-ASIA) provides grants of up to $7,000 to U.S. undergraduates with demonstrated financial need planning to study in East or Southeast Asia. The program's goal is to increase the number of Americans with firsthand exposure to and understanding of Asia and its peoples and cultures. This info session will provide an overview of the awards, application process, and tips for constructing a competitive application.
