on August 29 at 3:00 p.m. ET on Zoom
In Yemen, a child under the age of 5 dies every 10 minutes from preventable causes. All children deserve to live safe and healthy lives. Make a 100% tax-deductible donation today to give the world's most vulnerable children the nutrition, water and medical supplies they desperately need.
Make your donation in support of the Yemen crisis, and receive a Zoom link to enjoy our virtual live concert featuring local talent.
The UNICEF Unite Chapter at Drexel — Dragons for UNICEF— organized this virtual concert and poetry recital to raise funds for the Yemen crisis.
Already one of the poorest nations in the Middle East, Yemen is marred with war, malnutrition, hunger and disease. While no one has been left untouched by such calamities, children are particularly vulnerable to illnesses stemming from a lack of basic necessities like food, shelter, water and medication. A child dies of a preventable disease or malnutrition, every ten minutes.
Given the outbreak of COVID-19, UN supported programs are already struggling to keep medical clinics functional, provide food assistance, sanitation or reunification to millions of children and their families.
It is time for us, as privileged members of an international community, to do our part in raising funds to alleviate the suffering of those caught in the middle of the worst humanitarian crisis in the world.
Join us to support local young talent and contribute to a larger cause, because: - No child must have to live, separated from their family.
- No child must have to go without food.
- No child must go without much needed medical care.
- No child must be denied basic education.
