End Date: 9/10/2015End Time: 7:30 PM

Event Description

A panel discussion and book signing with "Beyond Deportation" author Shoba Sivaprasad Wadhia.

Please join us for a discussion featuring Penn State Law Professor Shoba Sivaprasad Wadhia, a leading immigration scholar and author of the new NYU Press book, "Beyond Deportation: The Role of Prosecutorial Discretion in Immigration Cases."

The panel will also include William Stock, president-elect of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and Professor Anil Kalhan of the Drexel University Kline School of Law.

In "Beyond Deportation," Wadhia offers an authoritative examination of President Obama's executive actions on immigration and the capacity of prosecutorial discretion to protect individuals from deportation and save government resources.

Wadhia is the founder and director of the Center for Immigrants' Rights Clinic at Penn State Law and previously served as deputy director for legal affairs at the National Immigration Forum in Washington, D.C.

A reception and book signing will follow the discussion.
