Advances in Trans-Catheter Treatment Modalities for Congenital Heart Disease

Boban P. Abraham, MD, assistant professor of pediatrics; pediatric and adult congenital-structural interventional cardiologist, St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children

Learning Objectives

  • Enumerate the variety and scope of procedures that can appropriately be managed in the cardiac catheterization lab
  • Describe policies and procedures in place in the catheterization suite designed to maximize patient safety and quality outcomes
  • Identify patients in your practice who are or are not likely to benefit from trans-catheter procedures and refer appropriate candidates in a timely fashion

Target Audience
Physicians, nurse practitioners, nursing personnel, fellows, residents, medical students and other health care professionals who take care of children
