ASK FOR IT: A Panel Discussion on Women & Negotiation
Start Date: 5/25/2016Start Time: 3:30 PM
End Date: 5/25/2016End Time: 5:00 PM

Event Description

Senior accounting major and Honors student Kiera Bohan is hosting a panel discussion to talk about the wage gap among women and men in the workplace, which in part stems from negotiation and the inherent hesitation amongst women of all ages to engage in negotiations.

As part of her class ORGB 420: Negotiation and Conflict Resolution, Bohan is planning an event with Pennoni Honors College and LeBow College of Business for students and faculty to discuss the inherent hesitation among young graduates to engage in negotiation whether it is a salary negotiation or a conversation specific to the position.

Panelists include Roberta (Bobbi) Liebenberg, a Partner at Fine, Kaplan and Black; Lynn Yeakel, Director of Drexel University College of Medicine's Institute for Women's Health and Leadership; Dr. Rebecca Weidensaul, Associate Dean of Students; Alison Young, Executive Director, Institute for Strategic Leadership, LeBow College of Business; and Jonathon Zeigert, assistant department head, Management, LeBow College of Business.
