Navigating the 2018 medical school application process
Start Date: 1/24/2017Start Time: 5:30 PM
End Date: 1/24/2017End Time: 6:30 PM

Event Description

This workshop is for current students and alumni who intend to apply to medical school in the summer of 2017 for matriculation in 2018. While some topics from the fall application workshop will be repeated, the application timeline, assessing course prerequisites and competency based admissions requirements, and researching medical schools will be covered in greater depth. New changes to the method of GPA calculations by the osteopathic medical school application service (AACOMAS) and some 2016 national medical school admissions statistics will also be presented. The centralized web applications AMCAS, AACOMAS, and TMDSAS (for Texas residents) will open the first week of May, thus it is important to start preparing now for the application process.

Note that this workshop will be repeated on Friday January 27, 2017 at 3 pm; location to be determined. Check the workshop calendar on the Steinbright Career Development Center’s web site for details.
