Event Description
The Washington D.C. Chapter of Special Libraries Association (DC/SLA) and Drexel University College of Computing & Informatics (CCI) invite to you attend an evening program entitled Applying Artificial Intelligence in Education and Libraries on a Global Scale.

In this program, you will learn about the latest research and development on the use of artificial intelligence (AI) and other emerging technologies to improve education and libraries on a global scale.

Speaker:  Harri Ketamo, a 2017 Eisenhower Fellow from Finland, is Chief Scientist and Chairman of the Board of HeadAI. A successful entrepreneur with more than 15 years’ experience as a researcher of learning sciences, data mining and artificial intelligence, he leads a team of scientists targeting global impact on increasing work productivity and promoting wellbeing. Working to develop cognitive artificial intelligence and teachable software robots, the company seeks to produce highly versatile bots that can automate various everyday intellect jobs. Before HeadAI, Ketamo founded SkillPixels, a global gamified elementary school for mobile and tablet users, ranked in the top five apps for kids in the App Store in more 70 countries. Some of his specific interests involve the future of libraries, and pulling printed books into the “Internet of Things.” He has worked on using artificial intelligence to index digitized libraries, building automatic key-wording and networks of relationships between books.
