American Meat: Movie Screening and Panel Discussion
Start Date: 4/1/2013Start Time: 6:30 PM
End Date: 4/1/2013End Time: 9:30 PM

Event Description
American Meat is a pro-farmer look at chicken, hog, and cattle production in America. Our current industrial system of feedlots and confinement operations are being unveiled, not by hidden cameras, but by the farmers who live and work on these farms. Nationwide, a local food movement of farmers, chefs, and everyday people has taken root, but can it feed us all?

Ann Karlen, Executive Director of Fair Food Philly, will moderate the discussion. Panelists include Graham Merriwhether, Director of American Meat; Megan Bucknum of Philly Cow Share; Chef Bryan Mayer, Farm & CSA Consultant; and Nolan Thevenet of Stryker Farm. Networking begins at 6:30 pm. Movie begins at 7 pm, with panel discussion to follow at 8:30 pm. For more details and to register, go to americanmeatdrexel.eventbrite.com.
