A Healthier U and the Drexel Recreation Center would like to invite you to a fitness workshop.

Fitness on the Go
Wednesday June 19, 2013
Recreation Center Group Exercise Room 218

Vacations and work-related travel can really throw your fitness routine out of whack when you’re away from a gym. The good news is that exercise does not always have to take place in a Fitness Center! Discover the tricks to staying active on the go. This workshop will include exercise demonstrations with portable fitness equipment as well as a take-home bodyweight-style workout plan.

Please wear sneakers and comfortable clothing.

This workshop will be conducted by Julia Avans, the Coordinator of Membership Fitness at the Drexel Recreation Center. Julie holds an MS in Exercise Science and Health Promotion as well as various Personal Training and Group Exercise Certifications. She is very passionate about helping others achieve their health and fitness goals and strives to make fitness user-friendly and fun for everyone.

This is the first workshop in A Healthier U’s new series—Fitness for Every BODY.

This series will provide hands-on fitness workshops on a wide variety of topics for bodies of all shapes, sizes, genders, and fitness levels. Learn how fitness can be functional, fun and user friendly. Take home knowledge and exercises to help keep you fit for life!

This event is open to the entire Drexel community. If you are not a Recreation Center member, please tell the Welcome Center desk staff that you are there for the workshop “Fitness on the Go.”
