Dragon Dialogue Series: Healthy Holiday Eating Traditions (15 Wellness Points)*
Start Date: 10/20/2021Start Time: 1:00 PM
End Date: 10/20/2021End Time: 2:00 PM

Event Description
Sometimes the holidays can be tricky when traditional dishes don’t accommodate new ways of eating or more recent health or dietary considerations. New food traditions can be formed at the holidays to help support you and your family’s health and well-being.
This workshop will look at yummy new ways to cook and prepare seasonal dishes, discuss some simple modifications to help you accommodate the health and well-being of you and your family, and provide a few fun recipes for you to go home with.
Rachel Sherman, pastry chef and Drexel Food Lab project manager, and Jonathan Deutsch, PhD. Professor in the Department of Food and Hospitality Management in the College of Nursing and Health Professions, designed this presentation to help you feel more comfortable adapting your culinary skills and habits—or creating new ones.

This talk is part of our Dragon Dialogue Series, a new series of wellbeing workshops for Drexel employees.

2020 was an unprecedented year. We all faced many challenges, obstacles, isolation, and loss. In doing so, we also learned how essential community and social connection can be in weathering life’s storms.

In response to these tumultuous times, Drexel is offering its employees The Dragon Dialogue Series. This new series will feature curated conversations and workshops throughout 2021.

The Dragon Dialogue Series will cover a broad range of topics related to mental health and emotional wellbeing.

These events will offer Drexel employees opportunities for conversation and guided exercises to enhance their wellbeing in this brand-new year.

Together is better.
