Maintain Don’t Gain
The holidays are a notoriously tough time to avoid putting on extra pounds. A Healthier U and the Drexel Recreation Center are here to help with “Maintain Don’t Gain,” a six-week health improvement challenge program that encourages employees to maintain or lose weight through nutrition and fitness.
Each participant will weigh in at the beginning of the program in late November and weigh out at the end, after the New Year. The staff at Recreational Athletics will track each participant’s weight at the beginning and again at the conclusion of the program.
Initial weigh-ins will be conducted in a private room at the Recreation Center (33rd and Market Streets) the week before Thanksgiving:
•November 22nd, 25th, and 26th : 11:00-1:00 and 4:00-6:00
Tell the Welcome Center Desk Staff that you want to participate in Maintain Don’t Gain and they will direct you to the private weigh-in area. Or simply stop by room 309-A during the above hours.
A follow-up weigh-out will be conducted by Recreation Center staff January 6th, 7th, and 8th from 11:00-1:00 and 4:00-6:00.
Participants who remain within 2 pounds of their starting weight will receive a Healthier U hooded sweatshirt as an added incentive.
