Book Release: Poems for the Writing: Prompts for Poets

Event Description
Valerie Fox, PhD, associate teaching professor of English, and Lynn Levin, associate teaching professor of English, will host an evening at the Manayunk-Roxborough Art Center to celebrate their book release "Poems for the Writing: Prompts for Poets."
 
"Poems for the Writing: Prompts for Poets" offers 14 classroom- and workshop-tested writing prompts that appeal to both beginning and experienced poets. The book lends itself to academic courses as well as poetry workshops in less formal settings.

Levin and Fox will also offer writing workshops based on the book's strategies this fall at Musehouse, a Center for the Literary Arts, located in Chestnut Hill. Levin's Musehouse workshop will be aimed at writers of high school age, and Fox's workshop is open to adult participants.
