Join two ridiculously cute hedgehogs (and a few Academy educators) for a special meet-and-greet. As we introduce you to our brand-new hedgehogs, education staff (assisted by Marty the Moose, our puppet storyteller), will share a children’s book about hedgehogs. You can also watch as our hedgies help themselves to a mid-afternoon feast.

Since they came to the Academy, our new additions have spent time in quarantine in a location set apart from the rest of the Live Animal Center. All animals must remain in quarantine for at least 30 days or until they receive a clean bill of health. Then they go through a socialization process with our experienced animal handlers.

Finally, on April 24, the hedgehogs make their on-stage debut—free with museum admission. Don’t miss your chance to be among the very first visitors to meet these prickly little bundles of adorableness!
