Event Description
Get your sneakers ready for the 5th Annual Employee Olympics! The 2014 games will be held on Wednesday, June 18. Participation is open to all faculty and professional staff of Drexel University, Drexel University College of Medicine and the Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University. Employees may register as part of a team or as "free agents" to be matched with a team.
Participants will compete in 12 different sports:
- Baggo (bean bag toss)
- Basketball
- Beach Volleyball
- Climbing
- Dodgeball
- Indoor Cycling
- Run/Walk
- Soccer
- Squash
- Table Tennis
- Tennis
- Urban Obstacle Course
Winners will receive gold medals, and individuals displaying teamwork, sportsmanship and enthusiasm will receive “Torch Bearer” Awards. For those who do not wish to compete, A Healthier U will sponsor a Fun Walk open to all employees. Opening Ceremonies will be held at 2 p.m. in the Recreation Center.
