Event Description An Evening at the Barnes Foundation

The Barnes Foundation Join Drexel alumni for an exclusive, after-hours visit to the Barnes Foundation, one of the world's finest collections of post-impressionist and early-modern paintings.
The evening will begin with a cocktail reception followed by a discussion with Martha Lucy, assistant professor of art history at Drexel's Westphal College of Media Arts and Design. Dr. Lucy spent seven years as associate curator of the Barnes Foundation before coming to Drexel. She will speak to the group about the history of the collection and some of its masterpieces.
After the talk, guests are free to embark on a self-guided tour through the Barnes' entire collection which, in addition to paintings, features sculptures, ceramics, jewelry, textiles and antiquities from throughout history.
