Event Description

Join the Department of Health Management and Policy at Dornsife for an invited speaker event featuring Derek Griffith, PhD, Professor, Health Systems Administration, Georgetown University.

Griffith will be discussing how achieving health equity requires creating, resisting, undoing, and mitigating structural racism in the context of COVID-19 and cancer. In this presentation, he will describe how syndemics, intersectionality, and individual tailoring may complement downstream efforts to characterize epigenetic and genomic efforts to develop biomedical interventions to achieve healthcare and health equity.
