Please join the Department of Sociology for the next installment of Power, Pleasure & Space: Planning the 21st Century City -  Protecting Poor Peoplesʼ Property? Eminent Domain in Philadelphia

 

Debbie Boucher, assistant professor of sociology, Barnard College, will be joining us and leading the discussion.

Becher is the author of "Private Property and Public Power: Eminent Domain in Philadelphia" (Oxford University Press, 2014).  Becherʼs work cuts across law, race, economics and inequality in studies of property rights in both urban and rural contexts.
