Cigna's Technology Early Career Development Program (TECDP)
Start Date: 10/2/2018Start Time: 1:00 PM
End Date: 10/2/2018End Time: 2:00 PM
Event Description
The TECDP mission is to support the professional development needs of early career Information Technology (IT) program associates, as well as Cigna's IT talent requirements by providing program associates with challenging IT assignments, formalized training, and guided mentorship. The committed partnership between associates, program management, and Cigna's IT leadership is a testament to the value of the TECDP and the critical role it plays in developing Cigna's future IT professionals.

The TECDP pursues the recruitment of recent college graduates and early career professionals holding a degree in Information Technology or a related discipline. The program offers the opportunity for associates to develop and refine technical, leadership, and business skills focused on building well-rounded IT professionals. As TECDP associates begin to shape their career path through their experiences, they are supported by their TECDP class program manager, assigned IT role manager, their program "buddy", co-workers, peers, and mentors.

All associates are afforded the opportunity to develop in-demand IT and business skills throughout their program experience. TECDP's program framework allows for participation in multiple rotations throughout their time in the program. Associates are able to focus on the development of generalist competencies, technical competencies, or a combination of the two. TECDP's formalized training structure is comprised of technical and non-technical skills training, networking opportunities, formal mentoring, and exposure to a breadth of technologies spanning multiple lines of business.
