Event Description Register for the workshop
Pop-up Workshops are informal sessions where students have the opportunity to hear from and interact with different speakers on a variety of topics. Our first Pop-Up Workshop will be a Conversation with Dr. Elizabeth Collins, focusing on her non-traditional journey to medicine and her decision to pursue geriatric and palliative care as a specialty.
Dr. Collins grew up in a small town in southwestern Pennsylvania and didn’t make the decision to pursue medicine until after college. Her particular interests lie in the care of patients from traditionally marginalized groups, including LGBT older adults; dementia and delirium; and care at the end of life. We want students to hear her story and learn how her path has impacted her practice.
