Event Description
We have been seeing news stories about Cryptocurrencies, Blockchains and NFTs for the past few years. It seems like this topic is everywhere. You may be asking yourself; “What is this and how might I utilize this technology?” Whether you are a complete novice or are already dabbling in bitcoin, this presentation will have something for you. Our subject matter experts John Rafferty, Esq. and Stephen J. Olsen Esq., partners at
Gawthrop Greenwood, PC, will discuss:
• What are blockchains, NFTs, & cryptocurrencies?
• The benefits and risks of investing in cryptocurrencies.
• Some mechanisms of investing in cryptocurrencies.
• Tax implications of cryptocurrencies and reportable events.
• Other emerging legal issues with cryptocurrencies (and the Metaverse?).
