Event Description Teachers and parents can benefit from fresh perspectives and new competencies in leveraging Learning Technologies.
The presentation will address ways to leverage the current and post-COVID-19 world of virtual and blended learning at home in urban, suburban, and rural settings.
Attendees will begin to develop skills in the following competencies through a presentation of concepts, resource ideas, and suggestions followed by a question and answer period.
- Identify and acquiring inexpensive devices and apps to supplement core technology resources
- Identify and utilize existing free or inexpensive materials to facilitate learning
- Create and leverage a home classroom / studio / learning environment
- Use the world as a living laboratory
- Communicate with teachers and other learning providers
- Manage multiple learners in the home environment
- Find resources for learners with special needs
- Find and implement internet connectivity
