Event Description
As a truly sustainable, ethical brand,
Grant Blvd works on behalf of what’s good for people & what’s good for our
planet. Founded on the principle that it is imperative to completely reimagine
our response to poverty and the criminalization of it, Grant Blvd is radically
changing how pathways are created for the self-sufficient living of black &
brown people who have been incarcerated.
How? By sourcing reclaimed fabrics,
manufacturing exclusively in Philadelphia, and supporting incarcerated &
returning citizens.
Why? Because it’s time to recalibrate our
systems. And our style.
On Wednesday, November 18, join Fashion Design professor Beth Quinn in welcoming Kimberly McGlonn Founder & CEO of Grant Blvd. This lecture is part of the Sustainable Practice in Design virtual lecture series and open to Drexel University students. Email efs27@drexel.edu to receive the Zoom link. |
