In March, Remake launched a petition demanding brands #PayUp in response to reports that brands had cancelled in-production orders as a result of retail constriction following the outbreak of COVID-19. Since then, the petition has evolved into a global movement, resulting in 19 brands committing to #PayUp and unlocking an estimated $1 billion in Bangladesh and $22 globally for garment makers and suppliers.
And while the #PayUp movement has only just begun, we’re excited to be debuting our “Future of Fashion” roadmap - led by garment makers and labor organizers - that includes a set of six demands brands and retailers must support to create a fashion industry that puts people and the planet first in the future. Learn how you can become a signatory and support that future. |
