Event Description
Dr. Jordan Berg serves as a Program Officer in the Engineering Directorate of the US National Science Foundation (NSF). His research interests include nonlinear and geometric control, soft robotics, human-machine systems, and the modeling, simulation, design and control of nano- and micro-systems.
His talk will cover NSF Funding Opportunities in Dynamics, Control, and Automation The National Science Foundation (NSF) offers a number of funding opportunities for investigators working on problems related to dynamics, controls, and automation, both within the disciplinary programs in Engineering and other directorates, and through cross-cutting foundation-wide initiatives. This presentation will describe opportunities of potential interest to the robotics, dynamics and controls communities, including programs targeted toward junior investigators. There will be a review of basic guidelines for proposal preparation, including NSF’s Intellectual Merit and Broader Impacts criteria. A question-and-answer session will follow the presentation.
