Training on Research Intelligence Tools -- Scopus

Event Description

The Office of Research & Innovation and Elsevier are hosting hybrid training (on campus at 3020 Market Street, Suite 510 or virtual via Zoom) on Scopus and SciVal on Thursday, November 9 and Friday, November 10, 2023.

THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 9TH

Scopus  – Discover, analyze & network  (1 hour session offered at either 10:00am – 11:00am or 12:30pm  –  1:30pm)
Scopus is the broadest source of global scientific research, featuring citations from scientific journals, books, and conference proceedings to help you to track, analyze and visualize research, and foster collaboration.

In the session, you will learn:

  • How to Interpret and work with author profiles (author identity)
  • Execute searches using the full range of topical search functionality offered in Scopus (search strategies)
  • Conduct comparative analytics and develop visualizations

Please register  no later than Monday, October 30, 2023. For those who chose to participate virtually, a link to the session(s) will be sent to via email on Wednesday, November 1, 2023. On-campus participants, please bring your laptop to the session.

The sessions are open the Drexel research community who want to learn about data and metrics to help support research strategy, expertise and collaboration, research funding and impact and engagement within our institution; unique research strengths and multidisciplinary research areas; university rankings to inform planning; emerging trends in research areas; and more.
