Event Description Learn to run successful community meetings with your family, student organization, office or community members and manage feelings and energy in a room.
Community meeting is a deliberate, repetitive transition ritual intended to psychologically move people into a group psychological space preparing the way for collective thought and action. It is a tool of the Sanctuary Model and can be utilized by groups of all sizes and functions. The community meeting is an essential piece of creating a deeply democratic and trauma-informed community space and is an effective tool for creating and sustaining an atmosphere of nonviolence.
This workshop is presented by the Building Wealth and Health Network, a program of the Center for Hunger-Free Communities. It is open to all members of the Network, Drexel University and surrounding communities.
