Event Description The impact of trauma and adversity that students encounter in their lives follow them into the schools that they attend. These outside stressors students are managing often erupt in our classrooms as challenging classroom behaviors.
This free webinar will focus on how to plan classroom lessons in a manner that is based on evidence-based practices that are both trauma responsive and brain-based to support the creation of an optimal learning environment within your classroom.
About the presenter:
Dr. Julie Shaw, EdD
Dr. Shaw is a strong advocate of K-12 public education with expertise in in trauma informed practices and completed her dissertation on this topic through the Educational Leadership and Management program at Drexel University with a focus on U.S. Education Policy.
