Event Description

Military Emissions, Military Spending & the Climate Emergency

Join us on Wednesday, February 1st at 4pm ET!

Join us as we welcome Deborah Burton, Co-Founder of Tipping Point North South, a non-profit set up by former UK debt trade and tax justice campaigners to work across both the creative and NGO sectors through campaigns, events and film. Deborah will discuss the emerging topic of military emissions and the impact of the Russian invasion on this; why these emissions are missing from UN reporting; the scale of the problem; the countries responsible; and critically, how the trillions spent on conventional defense is draining resources away from the biggest security threat to people and planet in the 21st century – runaway climate change.
