Mindfulness as an Antidote for Overwhelm (15 Wellness Points)*

Event Description
Sometimes life is overwhelming. Ok, a lot of times. Our to-do lists are long and time is short. We know all too well that this disproportionate combination leads to busyness “at best” and fatigue, overwork and burnout at worst.

Additionally, we know we need rest, but sometimes thinking about making time for it makes everything feel more overwhelming. This course will explore some ways you can sprinkle mindfulness into your daily in-between moments in a way that can actually provide some relief from the stress, fatigue, and burnout of busy periods.

Through discussion, guided mediation and Q&A, we will explore how integrating these mindful moments — no matter how short — can have a positive impact on your wellbeing.

This workshop will be offered in two parts (January 11 and 18, 2023). You do not need to register or attend both sessions in order to participate but registering for both sessions is strongly encouraged.

Open to all levels of mindfulness practice and experience. Come as you are.

Our instructor Dawn Mauricio (she/her) has been practicing and studying Insight Meditation since 2005, and has graduated from several Buddhist programs, including Spirit Rock's 4-year Retreat Teacher Training. She teaches with a playful, dynamic, and heartfelt approach in Canada and the US, to teens, people of color, and folks of all backgrounds.

*Participants in our Wellness Incentive Program are eligible to earn 15 points (a $15 credit) for attending this event.

You must register for the Health Advocate Wellness Incentive Program AND complete your annual Personal Health Profile before you will be eligible to receive any payouts. Points for attending these events will be sent to Health Advocate on a monthly basis for the prior month’s activities. There will be a 6-week delay in these points and payouts being distributed.
