Event Description
Our work environment can be much more than just having a chair at a desk with a computer. When approached holistically, our environment can help improve our productivity. This Learning Hour will explore a variety of work environments and how they’ve evolved over time while engaging participants in a discussion that can help identify what changes or enhancements might help to improve their current work setting.
Learning Hour presenter Kara Lindstrom is the Program Manager of the Expressive & Creative Interaction Technologies (ExCITe) Center , a University-wide strategic initiative bringing together faculty, students, and entrepreneurs from engineering, fashion design, digital media, performing arts, computer and information science, product design, and many other fields to pursue highly multi-disciplinary collaborative projects.
The research and education activities of the ExCITe Center serves to connect knowledge and resources across Philadelphia through civic, arts and culture, and industry partnerships with other institutions and organizations in the region.
Kara Lindstrom received her Masters of Science (MS) degree in Interior Architecture & Design from Drexel, and her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology of Culture from the University of Pennsylvania.
