We are pleased to
announce the launch of a new book Overcoming Secondary Stress in Medical and
Nursing Practice co-authored by Dean Gloria Donnelly and Robert Wicks.
Secondary stress (SS) is what caregivers experience as a
function of caring for others. Join us for a discussion and reading from the
book, which will allow you to identify conditions in the health care
environment that contribute to the development of secondary stress and explore
personal efforts you can employ for your own self-care. Gloria F. Donnelly,
Ph.D., RN, FAAN, FCPP, served as the founding Dean of Drexel University's
College of Nursing and Health Professions from 2002 to 2016.
