Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of the activity, participants should be able to:

  • Discuss the clinical symptoms and signs of hypokalemia and hyperkalemia – brain, heart, muscle.
  • Discuss the disturbances of intracellular:extracellular potassium balance and resting cell membrane potential.
  • Discuss the influence of drugs on potassium balance.
