Event Description

Join the Center for Law, Policy, & Social Action in welcoming Nicole Ramos, director of the Border Rights Project of Al Otro Lado. Al Otro Lado is a bi-national, direct legal services organization with offices in Los Angeles, San Diego and Tijuana, Mexico, serving indigent deportees, migrants, and refugees. Ms. Ramos will discuss the work of the Border Rights Project, which provides direct services to asylum seekers and their families and engages in broader legislative, media, and legal advocacy efforts to challenge systemic human rights violations committed by state actors.
