Event Description
Are the Walls Crumbling?
The Biden administration is proposing a $2 trillion infrastructure plan. When people think infrastructure, they typically think of fixing roads and bridges, building, transit — all the things that keep the U.S. moving. Many, however, say Biden's American Jobs Plan oversteps the definition of infrastructure. Economist R. Glenn Hubbard contends there is more investment in social spending than productivity-enhancing infrastructure. We'll be defining infrastructure, articulating needs and wants, considering the size of the outlay after the large COVID stimulus, and discussing how compromise can happen.
