Event Description When he retired in the fall of 2022, Dr. Mark Brack was the longest serving full-time faculty member in the history of Drexel's Architecture Program. For nearly 30 years, he introduced the history of the world's architecture to countless Drexel students, inspiring students within and beyond the major and opening a door to viewing the built environment with new eyes. Dr. Brack took many of these students on study tours abroad that he developed with his colleagues and worked tirelessly to make them both affordable and exciting. Until this year, Brack also coordinated the Arfaa Lecture Series, now in its 30th year. In this Spring Arfaa Lecture, Dr. Brack will look back on the legacy of the Lecture Series and the significant changes he has observed in architecture and architectural education. We invite students, alumni, colleagues, and friends to help us celebrate Dr. Mark Brack’s legacy as beloved architectural historian and educator at Drexel University. Registration required.
